BAM is the non-profit trade association of Maryland breweries and brewpubs. 15 Maryland breweries will be present sampling over 80 different beers. The Maryland Craft Beer Festival is for, by, and in direct support of Maryland craft beer. The festival highlights include an on-site brewing demonstration of a Brewer’s Association of Maryland Collaboration beer featuring Heavy Seas Beer and Barley and Hops, rare bottles and kegs, one of a kind casks, VIP gifts, all in a family-friendly environment with live music, kids’ activities, exhibitors, and fresh, local foods.

The Maryland Craft Beer Festival, produced by the brewers themselves brings together craft beer from across the state in a celebration of the Maryland beer community. For a full list of attending breweries please visit the official festival website. The BAM Collaboration Beer developed by Steve Marsh - Head Cellarman of Heavy Seas Beer, and Larry Pomerantz - Headbrewer of Barley and Hops will be brewed on-site by 3 chosen homebrewers from the state. The yeast (a Wallonian Saison and French Biere de Garde blend) will be pitched at Barley and Hops in Frederick, where upon finishing, the ultra-small- batch will be tasted by 1 very special VIP winner plus 10 friends and the public (to capacity). The recipe will feature local ingredients from a variety of dried hops (2011-harvested across Maryland from the Eastern Shore to the mountains of the west), dandelions, honey, coriander and locally-grown and malted barley from Amber Fields Malting and Brewing Company in KeyMar, MD.
