The
Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) is the non-profit trade association of Maryland breweries and brewpubs, founded in 1996. The mission of BAM is to foster and
promote Maryland craft beer and the community associated with it.
BAM
currently produces 2 annual large-scale events; The Maryland Craft Beer Festival at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds, and Maryland Oktoberfest at the Timonium Fairgrounds. Both of these events directly fund the mission of the Brewer's Association of Maryland.
The brewing
industry in Maryland started in 1703 in Annapolis by Benjamin
Fordham. Since then, over 50
breweries have opened in Maryland and BAM is committed to continuing the proud
tradition of crafting world class beer.
Maryland craft breweries continue to grow and support local communities and farmers, from small business owners to the family farm. Please
support Maryland beer. Ask your favorite local pub, restaurant or beer store to carry and serve fresh, local
beer brewed in the great state of Maryland.
